My Hero Academia voice actor Elizabeth Maxwell expressed her disappointment over the dealing with of her character, Midnight’s, last scene within the anime.

Chatting with ComicBook throughout DragonCon, Maxwell shared her ideas on the portrayal of Midnight’s loss of life.

Whereas expressing her respect for the present’s creators, Maxwell revealed disappointment that Midnight’s last stand wasn’t depicted intimately. She identified the action-packed struggle scenes involving different heroes earlier within the sequence and contrasted it with Midnight’s off-screen demise.

“With all due respect to the creators, who I respect to the moon and again, I used to be upset that we didn’t get to see Midnight’s final stand. An episode or two in the past, we noticed these lovely struggle scenes with pro-heroes… It was a little bit disappointing to me that her struggle and loss of life have been glossed over.”

Regardless of this, she revealed that the expertise of voicing the character’s last scene was each cool and heartbreaking.

“She’s a Momma Bear and to go down feeling such as you let your infants down is heartbreaking,” she added.

Midnight’s off-screen demise was not unique to the anime, as Horikoshi depicted her last moments the identical manner within the manga too.

Midnight was killed off within the sixth season of My Hero Academia.

The anime is at the moment in its seventh season, which began airing on Could 4, 2024, and is scheduled to run for 21 episodes.

My Hero Academia is a manga sequence written and illustrated by Kohei Horikoshi. It was serialized in Weekly Shonen Soar from July 2014 to Aug 2024, with its chapters collected into 41 tankobon volumes as of August 2024.

It has been tailored into an anime sequence by Bones.

The primary season aired in Japan from April to June 2016, adopted by a second season from April to September 2017, then a 3rd season from April to September 2018, a fourth season from October 2019 to April 2020, a fifth season from March to September 2021, a sixth season from October 2022 to March 2023.
