Since its creation in September 2020, the Continuo Basis has awarded £750,000 to almost 100 period-instrument ensembles, supporting 170 artistic tasks, initiatives which have benefited over 1,000 freelance musicians and reached greater than 180,000 viewers members in 180 UK places and on-line [see my 2022 interview with founder, Tina Vadaneaux].

The muse has now opened is 8th grant spherical for purposes. It’s accepting purposes for funding Early Music live shows, excursions and different inventive tasks going down between November 2024 and April 2025, wherever within the UK. As in earlier rounds, the funding out there on this eighth grant spherical quantities to £100,000.

Proposals from each established and rising ensembles (shaped since 2020) are being welcomed and shall be evaluated primarily based on inventive high quality, viewers attain, and long-term impression.
