AMERICAN THEATRE | Ernie Nolan Named Unicorn Theatre Creative Director

KANSAS CITY, MO.: Unicorn Theatre has named Ernie Nolan their new inventive director. He’ll assume the function on July 1 forward of manufacturing inventive director Cynthia Levin’s retirement.

“I’m thrilled with the result of our nationwide seek for a brand new inventive director,” Unicorn’s president of the board of administrators, Sally Everhart, stated in a press release. “Ernie’s inventive imaginative and prescient completely aligns with Unicorn Theatre’s, and his management model, coupled together with his heat persona, will make sure the theatre stays a hub of inventive collaboration and development in Kansas Metropolis.”

Nolan is a playwright, director, and choreographer who beforehand served because the inventive director of Emerald Metropolis Theatre. He has served on the theatre college at DePaul College and can be transitioning to Unicorn from his function as the chief inventive director of Nashville Youngsters’s Theatre. In 2007, Nolan choreographer Unicorn’s manufacturing of La Cage Aux Folles. He holds a BFA from the College of Michigan and an MFA from DePaul.
